The Canadian Dental Care Plan (CDCP) helps eligible residents without private dental insurance with the cost of care, and we warmly welcome CDCP patients. We also accept most insurance plans and will help you with your benefits — call us and we’ll walk you through your coverage and what to bring.
Do you accept CDCP patients?+
Yes — we warmly welcome patients with the Canadian Dental Care Plan. Bring your CDCP member information and a piece of ID, and call us first so we can confirm what to bring.
Am I eligible for the CDCP?+
The CDCP is for Canadian residents without access to dental insurance and with an adjusted family net income under $90,000. Eligibility is determined by Service Canada; once Sun Life enrols you, we can help you understand how your coverage applies.
How much will I pay under the CDCP?+
The CDCP reimburses a percentage of eligible costs at established CDCP rates. A co-payment may apply based on your adjusted family net income — typically none under $70,000, and a rising share between $70,000 and $90,000. We’ll review what to expect before treatment.
What is the Canada Dental Benefit?+
Separate from the CDCP, the interim Canada Dental Benefit provides payments of up to $650 per child per year for families with an adjusted net income under $90,000 who don’t have access to dental insurance.
What insurance & payment do you accept?+
We accept most insurance plans and will help you with your benefits and claims. Ask us about coverage and payment options when you book.
Are you taking new patients?+
Yes — new patients of all ages are welcome. Call (604) 278-8243 and we’ll arrange your first visit and any intake forms.
Final coverage, co-pay and preauthorization are confirmed by our clinic. CDCP eligibility is determined by Service Canada, not by us.
